The Masters
Arguably the greatest golf tournament, played on one of the most bautiful course in the world.

Lucky enouhg to have been there and watched it.

But who is your money on?

I think Rory will do it this year, a definite good each way bet. Not sure which of the outsiders to go for

Re: The Masters
Think it's only ever been won by about 7 Europeans (and not many foreigners full stop), so I generally stick a pin in a couple of yank outsiders.

Old man had Willett last year the fucker and I'd love another Englishman to win it.

Me too. Furyk is back from his injury, bang in form and normally performs well at Augusta. I'll be putting a little on him at 250/1 e/w.

Re: The Masters
Tactics done me well so far, other than the odd in running bet, I don't think I've ever had a single outright golf winner (odd e/w) when backed from the start!!

Actually maybe just one, can't remember who it may have been though.

Bookies have rinsed me at golf the buggers.

Re: The Masters
Had willett last year so going to stick with the English theme and go with Casey. Plus a little bet on Garcia as I always back him and its sods law if I don't back him he'll win.

Re: The Masters
I'm going to be absolutely gutted if Sergio ends his career without a major win.

Love the bloke.

Re: The Masters
Dustin could win by a wide margin this week but 11/2 is taking the piss for a major so instead I'll be doing these.......

Rickie Fowler 18/1 (overpriced, considering how well he's playing)
Jon Rahm 20/1 (playing great)
Bubba 40/1 (always back him)
Leishman 55/1 (recent winner and did finish 4th in 2013)
Haas 90/1 (pretty consistent at Augusta, five top 30s in his seven starts)

Re: The Masters
Patrick Reed has got a green Jacket in him at some point

He has my money this week along with Casey and Brenden Grace

Re: The Masters
Hard to look beyond DJ, especially if the course is softened up by the storms.

Rahm is going to be genuinely great, but too short for me as rookie as only one has ever won here.

Marc LEISHMAN is probably the value shout, for me.

Re: The Masters
Generally I have a decent record in the Masters, unlike Grumpster. Cabrara, Langer and Olazabal have all won for me over the years. I have gone for Louis O and Mickelson - convinced he has one more masters in him. Like others though I will also sling a tenner on Garcia 'just in case'. I did also manage to back Norman the year he blew up against Faldo. I settled down to watch his march to victory only to see it all go horribly wrong.

Re: The Masters
Get some money on e/w for Tyrell Hatton. Great form last year, 1st appearance at the Masters, I reckon he could mske the Top 6.

He still plays at my local club and he is living the dream at the moment. Good luck to him.

Re: The Masters
What are Day's odds?

Can see the recent mum problems giving him a boost after her surgery and with her potentially being there.

Re: The Masters
I'll be betting on McIlroy for all the majors this year now that he's free to play with decent clubs. I've also gone for Matsuyama and Lowry.

Re: The Masters
So fortunate to get to go to the masters in 2015.

Augusta - the course is amazing.

Augusta town is meant to be rough so didn't bother visiting that.

Course is a bit out of town. Area around it all purpose built for the tournament. Loads of bars/restaurants and hotels on one long strip. Reminded me of an industrial estate. - bit odd. I got hotel on main road leading into course.

Amen corner much smaller than it looks on TV. In fact the whole place is much smaller than it looks.

Best bet is the par 3 course. Walked the course on the Tuesday. Would pay loads to,play that. It's amazing.

Re: The Masters
McIlroy, the Masters is the one major missing form his list. He'll be well motivated.
